Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has revealed that he recently became the father of a baby girl born outside of his marriage. In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Tuesday, the 55-year-old rock icon expressed his commitment to being a “loving and supportive parent” while navigating the complexities of his personal life.
Grohl, who has been married to TV producer and former model Jordyn Blum since 2003, is already a father to three daughters—Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10. In his post, Grohl acknowledged the challenges this revelation brings to his family, stating that he is doing “everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together,” Grohl added, referring to both his existing family and his new daughter.
The post, while open and candid, contains no further details about the identity of the child’s mother. Grohl has turned off comments on the Instagram post, and no further statements have been made by his wife Jordyn or their family.
This is not the first time Grohl has faced challenges in his personal relationships. He was previously married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, with their marriage ending in 1997 following his admission of infidelity.
Grohl, a key figure in rock music since his days as the drummer of Nirvana, has built an illustrious career with Foo Fighters. Despite the personal turmoil, his focus remains on his music and family, as he continues to balance both his professional and personal responsibilities.
